What it does
Shelly Dimmer Gen3 and Gen4 can be installed in a switch box with no neutral wire, but with a light load of under 20 W they need a little help. The Shelly Bypass for Dimmer Gen3 provides it. It sits inside the light fitting and connects to the dimmer's output and the neutral there, giving the dimmer a stable path for its own power.
That makes it the part to add when you are dimming one or two low-wattage LED lamps from a switch box with no neutral, which is common in older homes. It does need a neutral at the light fitting itself. The housing measures 39 by 23 by 13 mm with 65 mm leads, and there is nothing to configure.

For a Shelly Dimmer Gen3 or Gen4 installed without a neutral at the switch. A neutral must be available at the light fitting.
