The SmartKwam shop (shop.smartkwam.co.za) is operated by Advannotech (Pty) Ltd (“we”, “us”), the company you contract with when you buy from us, registered in South Africa and trading from 141 Witch-Hazel Avenue, Highveld Techno Park, Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa.

SmartKwam is a smart-home brand of AdvannoSmart (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Advannotech (Pty) Ltd. Advannotech (Pty) Ltd runs the online sales. You can reach us at semakula.zulaikas@advannotech.co.za.

By accessing the shop, creating an account, or placing an order you accept these terms and our policies. If you do not agree, please do not use the shop. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one published here when you place your order.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to buy from us. We sell to customers with a South African delivery or collection address.

• All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of 15% VAT. The VAT portion is itemised separately at checkout.
• Delivery is charged as a separate line, calculated live from your delivery address before you pay.
• We try to keep product information, images and availability accurate, but minor differences can occur. If a product is materially different from its description, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act and our Refund & Returns policy apply.
• If a price is obviously wrong due to an error, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full — we will contact you first.

Submitting an order is an offer to buy. Your order is only accepted — and a contract formed — once payment is confirmed by Payfast and we send your order confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order (with a full refund) where a product is unavailable, a pricing error occurred, or we reasonably suspect fraud.

• We accept South African card payments through Payfast. Card details are entered directly into Payfast’s secure form — they never reach our servers, and we never store your card data.
• Your order is confirmed when Payfast notifies us that payment succeeded. If your confirmation page is still processing, the payment notification may arrive a few seconds later.
• You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

We deliver across South Africa by tracked courier, or you can collect for free from a listed collection point. Timeframes, costs and risk are set out in our Delivery Policy.

You can request to cancel an order before it is dispatched, directly from your account, for a full refund. After dispatch a cancellation is handled as a return. See our Cancellation Policy.

You may return eligible items within 14 days, and you always have your rights in respect of faulty or defective goods. The full process, who pays return shipping, and refund timeframes are in our Refund & Returns Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Goods come with the implied warranty of quality — if an item is defective, unsafe, or fails within six months of delivery, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund as the Act provides. Manufacturer warranties, where offered, apply in addition.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act.

We process your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). See our Privacy Policy.

The SmartKwam name, logo, site content and design are owned by AdvannoSmart (Pty) Ltd and used by Advannotech (Pty) Ltd under licence. They may not be copied or used without permission.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
