What it does
This is a DS18B20 digital temperature probe on a three metre cable. It connects to the Shelly Plus Add-On, which sits on a compatible Shelly relay, and its readings show up in the Shelly Smart Control app next to that relay. The longer cable lets you place the probe well away from where the relay is installed, so you do not need a second device just to take a reading.
Use it to follow the temperature of a water tank or a geyser, check the water in a pool pump room, or keep an eye on a cold room or chest freezer. Because the reading lives on the relay, you can build automations around it in the app, such as a notification when a freezer starts to warm up. If the relay is close by, the 1 m version (SK-SC-115) does the same job on a shorter cable.
What you need
Needs a Shelly Plus Add-On (sold separately) fitted to a compatible Shelly Plus, Gen3 or Gen4 relay, or a Shelly Pro Sensor Add-On on a compatible Pro device. This is not the 3.5 mm jack probe made for The Pill.

Install
The probe connects to the Shelly Plus Add-On, which mounts on a mains-powered Shelly relay. Switch the power off at the board before working on the add-on, and have a registered electrician fit the relay if it is not installed yet.
