What it does
This is a DS18B20 digital temperature probe on a 1 m cable, made for the Shelly Plus Add-On. The add-on clips onto a compatible Shelly relay, and the probe gives that relay an accurate temperature reading it can act on, alongside showing it in the Shelly Smart Control app.
Strap it to the pipe from a solar geyser to see how hot the water coming off the roof is, or measure the supply on an aircon or heat pump. Because the relay sees the reading directly, its automations can act on a temperature threshold without a separate controller. Note that it is not the 3.5 mm jack version made for The Pill.
What you need
Needs a Shelly Plus Add-On, sold separately, fitted to a compatible Shelly relay. This is not the 3.5 mm jack probe for The Pill.

Install
The probe connects to the Shelly Plus Add-On. The add-on is fitted to a Shelly relay behind a switch or in the DB board, and that mains work must be done by a registered electrician.
