What it does
Shelly Plus Uni is a compact circuit board that runs from 8 to 24 V AC or 9 to 28 V DC, the kind of low-voltage supply found in many gate motors and control panels. It has two potential-free solid-state outputs rated 30 V and 300 mA, two digital inputs, an analog input and a pulse counter, all available in the Shelly Smart Control app or its own web interface.
Wire an output to a gate or garage motor's trigger input and you can open it from your phone. The pulse counter reads up to 1 kHz, so it can count pulses from a water or electricity meter with a pulse output, and the 1-Wire connection takes a DHT22 or up to five DS18B20 temperature probes. It cannot switch mains loads directly; for those, it drives a relay or contactor.
What you need
Needs an 8 to 24 V AC or 9 to 28 V DC supply, or a stabilised 5 V DC supply, plus a Wi-Fi network. It does not switch mains; use a relay or contactor for that.

A registered electrician should fit and wire the Plus Uni. It works only on low voltage, so any mains equipment it controls must go through a suitably rated relay or contactor.
