What it does
Shelly Flood Gen4 senses water along the whole length of its 2 m cable, not just at one point. The moment water touches it, the built-in buzzer sounds and a notification goes to your phone through the Shelly Smart Control app. You can extend the cable up to 150 m with extra Shelly Leak Sensor Cables to cover a wall, a drip tray or a whole utility room.
Lay it along the geyser drip tray, behind the washing machine or dishwasher, or under the kitchen sink. It also has a Rain detection mode, and three alarm modes: Intense, Normal and Economic. It connects over Wi-Fi with Matter by default, can switch to Zigbee, and runs on four AA batteries for about two years.
What you need
Needs a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network for phone notifications, or a Matter controller or Zigbee hub if you prefer those. Runs on four AA batteries.

Install
Place the unit near the area you want to watch and lay the cable flat along the floor where water would collect. No wiring or tools are needed.
