A circuit-level energy meter that fits anywhere.
What it does
Shelly EM Mini Gen4 is a small energy meter that fits behind a wall switch or socket and measures one circuit up to 16 A. It has no relay, so it reports power and energy without ever switching the load. Readings are accurate to within 1% on voltage and current.
Use it to see what a pool pump, aircon or a single inverter-backed circuit really uses, and which appliances drive the bill. It keeps at least 10 days of one-minute data on board and exports it as CSV or JSON, so a short internet outage leaves no gap in your history.
It connects over Wi-Fi 6 to the Shelly Smart Control app, or joins a Zigbee or Matter system. It also extends Wi-Fi and Zigbee coverage and works as a Bluetooth gateway for Shelly BLU devices nearby. Like other Shelly devices, it keeps working locally on your network if the internet goes down.
What you need
Needs live and neutral at the mounting point and a Wi-Fi network, or a Zigbee or Matter controller. It measures only and cannot switch the load.
Install
This device is wired into your mains or DB board and must be fitted by a registered electrician.
Wired in series with the circuit behind a switch or socket, protected by a B or C curve breaker of no more than 16 A. A registered electrician must fit it. Shelly's official guide, linked on this page, shows the wiring.
