What it does
Shelly 1PM Gen4 switches one circuit up to 16 A at 240 V AC and measures what it draws. What sets it apart is choice: it runs on Wi-Fi in the Shelly Smart Control app, and it can also join a Matter or Zigbee system, so it fits whichever platform your home already uses.
At 16 A it covers a pool pump or a geyser element within that rating, with a contactor for anything larger. Per-circuit readings help you see where electricity goes and plan around load-shedding. It acts as a Bluetooth gateway for Shelly BLU devices and as a Zigbee repeater, which strengthens a Zigbee network spread across a larger property.
What you need
Needs a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and the free Shelly Smart Control app. To use it over Zigbee you need a Zigbee coordinator, and for Matter a Matter controller.
Install
This device is wired into your mains or DB board and must be fitted by a registered electrician.
Fits behind an existing switch or in a junction box. On an AC supply it needs a neutral. A registered electrician must fit it, as it connects to your mains wiring. They will follow Shelly's official wiring guide, linked on this page.
