What it does
Shelly 1 Mini Gen4 is the newest version of Shelly's smallest relay. It fits behind an existing wall switch and lets you control a light or small appliance up to 8 A from your phone. It works on Wi-Fi in the Shelly Smart Control app and can also join a Matter or Zigbee system instead.
Its relay contact is dry, separate from the supply that powers it, so it can also send a simple signal to the trigger input of a gate motor or garage door opener, or switch a low-voltage circuit up to 5 A at 30 V DC. It acts as a Bluetooth gateway for Shelly BLU devices and extends Zigbee and Wi-Fi coverage around the home.
What you need
Needs a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and the free Shelly Smart Control app. To use it over Zigbee you need a Zigbee coordinator, and for Matter a Matter controller.
Install
This device is wired into your mains or DB board and must be fitted by a registered electrician.
Fits in the wall box behind an existing switch and needs live and neutral at that point. A registered electrician must fit it, as it connects to your mains wiring. They will follow Shelly's official wiring guide, linked on this page.
