What it does
Shelly 1 Mini Gen3 is one of the smallest relays Shelly makes. It sits behind an existing wall switch or socket and lets you switch a light or small appliance from your phone, on a schedule, or from the wall switch you already use. It connects straight to your Wi-Fi, so there is no hub to buy.
Its relay contact is dry, which means it is not tied to the mains supply that powers the device. That makes it useful for more than lights: it can send a simple open or close signal to the trigger input of a gate motor or garage door opener, or switch a small low-voltage circuit up to 5 A at 30 V DC.
It also works as a Bluetooth gateway, passing readings from Shelly BLU sensors and buttons within range through to the Shelly Smart Control app. Schedules, scripts and local rules run on the relay itself, so a light set to switch on at sunset keeps doing so even when your internet connection drops for a while.
What you need
Needs a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and the free Shelly Smart Control app. No hub is required.

This device is wired into your mains or DB board and must be fitted by a registered electrician.
Fits in the wall box behind an existing switch and needs live and neutral at that point. A registered electrician must fit it, as it connects to your mains wiring. They will follow Shelly's official wiring guide, linked on this page.
